We got to Belém in a hot and sticky train with loads of other people. But that journey was worth the view which was waiting for us. A huge castle like building with so many small details! I wonder how long it took to finish this building. I can tell you that Belém is all about huge things, for example the seafarers monument which I absolutely fell in love with. I just felt like a sailor and I wanted to take a ship and go on the atlantic ocean. The Pastéis de Belém are famous cakes from there which you either eat with sugar or cinnamon, bur Belém has much more than those things. There is also a museum but unfortunately we didn’t have the opportunity to visit it but I’m sure that this will call for another trip to Lisbon!
